TERMINAL EQUIPMENT, AUTOMATIC REDIALING METHOD AND ELECTRIC COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow even a terminal connected to a public network not providing an automatic redialing function to execute the automatic redialing method by giving a local command to the terminal to be active so that a call is repeated automatically till connection is set up within a prescribed range of repetition number. SOLUTION: A means that attains an automatic repetitive call function is provided to a terminal in a communication network with a data transfer protocol operated in the simultaneous two-way mode. A terminal 12 stores an address and/or number of a remote terminal 13 and receives a local command to be activated when a call is failed, and a finite loop of repeating a call for some times (e.g. 10 times) is executed till the terminal 13 enters a valid range 11 and the reception of a call of the terminal 12 is possible. The automatic redialing device of the terminal 12 triggers a connection signal to inform a user about that a remote place opposite party (user of the terminal 13) connects to a line instantaneously of detecting connection setup.
