PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a synthetic fiber code for reinforcing a rubber, excellent in adhesion to the rubber, heat resistance in the rubber and degradation resistance against ethylene glycol by twisting a specific p-phenylene sulfide fiber yarn and a polyamide fiber yarn together, and imparting an adhesive treating agent to the twisted yarns. SOLUTION: This synthetic fiber code for reinforcing a rubber is produced by twisting a polyphenylene sulfide fiber yarn having >=4.5 g/de strength, >=60 g/de initial tensile resistivity and <=8% shrinkage in hot air at 180 deg.C, and obtained by attaching 0.3-2.0 wt.% treating agent containing 0.5-5% antioxidant component to the polyphenylene sulfide fiber, and a polyamide fiber yarn in a ratio of the polyphenylene sulfide fiber yarn to the polyamide fiber yarn requlated so as to be (3/7)-(7/3), together, and imparting an adhesive treating agent obtained by mixing a mixture of a resorcin-formalin preconclensate with a rubber latex, with further a chlorophenol compound. |
