PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable fan rotation to be easily noticeable by making a fan, which is rotatably driven by a motor located in an electric fan head portion, comprise a boss portion and a plurality of fan blades, made of a substantially transparent material, and providing embossed surfaces on the front surface of fan blades. SOLUTION: A fan 6 of an electric fan comprises a boss portion 9 provided with an insertion hole 8 in which a rotary shaft of a motor is inserted and a plurality of fan blades 10 that are radially formed on an outer periphery of the boss portion 9. An embossed surface A is formed on the front side of each of the fan blades 10, on its peripheral side except the very edges, concentrically with the boss portion 9. An embossed surface B, narrower than, and with a predetermined distance from, the embossed surface A, is formed on the side near the boss portion 9. When the fan 6 is stationary, the embossed surfaces A and B on the fan blades 10 are visible. When the fan is driven by the motor, embossed surfaces A and B form two respective rings as they look. This allows a stationary and rotating condition of the fan 6 to be visually discernible.
