PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an above-girder heat insulating structure best suited for use in cold districts since it can provide effective heat insulation above girders without causing heat bridging in a building, particularly a building with outer heat insulation. SOLUTION: This above-girder heat insulating structure comprises pole plates 24, rafters 14, struts 16, purlins, tie beams and the like. A plate-shaped heat insulating material is laid flat in such a way as to abut the upper surfaces of the pole plates 18 and the tie beams 17, and the struts 16 are fixed via strut corbels 23 placed on the upper surface of the heat insulating material 19.
