<p>The invention concerns a member (10) for modifying the stiffness of a heart electrode lead (12). The member (10) is flexible, elongated and comprises a longitudinal cavity (18) extending along said member (10). The member (10) has an interior cross-sectional dimension (20) defined by said cavity (18) and an exterior cross-sectional dimension (22), which is such that the member (10) is withdrawably positionable in a channel (24) of said heart electrode lead (12). The interior cross-sectional dimension (20) of the member is dimensioned to allow a guide wire (34) to be movably arranged therein. The invention also concerns an elongated heart electrode lead (12) comprising the above-mentioned member (10) and a guide wire arrangement (40) comprising the above-mentioned member (10) and an elongated guide wire (34) movably arranged in the longitudinal cavity (18) in said member (10).</p> |
