Each of a number of computers includes a first glass fibre cable for transmitting optical signal beams, and a second glass fibre cable for receiving optical signal beams. A prism divides an optical signal beam from a first glass fibre cable of one of the computers into a number of optical signal beams. Each of the optical signal beams is allocated its own frequency within the light spectrum. A mirror array uses a number of deformable mirrors to route each of the signal beams to a corresponding second glass fibre cable of at least one of the computers. The optical signal beams may contain information modulated by a number of light frequencies. Independent claims are included for an optoelectric computer network and a method of switching signals in an optoelectric computer network.
