TURN TYPE ACTUATOR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stabilization of an arm height by the dispersion of the assembly accuracy of an arm unit with a bearing unit and the arm rotational swing accuracy. SOLUTION: In a turn type actuator which turns a magnetic head so as to move against a magnetic disk in order to select the record track of the magnetic disk, the bearing insertion hole 24 of a holder 22 is formed to a straight cylinder without providing projection. The arm 3 surface is installed so as to be perpendicular to the axis of the insertion hole 24 of the holder 22. A bearing unit 23 is held on a bearing unit jig 32, and the arm unit 21 is inserted until the surface 3a of the arm 3 is contacted with the arm height base surface 33a of the upper surface of a projection 33 and adheringly fixed, while being held by an arm unit holding jig 31, so that the arm 3 becomes perpendicular to the axis of the bearing unit.
