PURPOSE: A wheels check system of a railroad car is provided to automatically test the existence of failure in wheels. CONSTITUTION: An eddy current is generated around a wheel by the AC voltage applied from an AC generator(20). A voltage is detected by a probe unit(30) with a detecting circuit. The voltage detected by the detecting circuit is converted to digital data by a voltage converting unit(70). The data are collected in a signal collecting unit(80). The existence of failure in the wheel is decided by the comparison of the data in the signal collecting data with those in a memory(94). The existence of failure is detected by the detecting unit and displayed visually by a control unit. Thereby, a test is performed automatically. |
