PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an intake air temperature approximate to the actual intake air temperature even directly after the switch operation of an intake changeover valve in the use of an ordinary temperature sensor. SOLUTION: The intake air temperature T5 that is detected by the intake air temperature sensor 7 provided in an air cleaner 2 in response to the switch operation of the intake changeover valve 5 by the microcomputer in an electric controller 6 is corrected so as to compensate the response delay of the intake air sensor 7 directly after the switch operation of the intake changeover valve 5. The corrected intake air temperature is calculated.
