PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor of an operator and to allow smooth climbing or a stairway. SOLUTION: A plurality of pairs of right and left driving wheels 4 are provided on each of a drive shaft 21 and a pair of right and left rotating support plates 23 fixedly provided on both end parts of this drive shaft 21 so that the driving wheels are rotated by driving force of a driving motor 15 provided on a carriage main body 3. These driving wheels 4 are journalled to the rotating support plates 23 so as to concentrically rotate around the drive shaft 21 via the rotating support plates 23. Front and rear driven wheels 5 are arranged below a center part side of the carriage main body 3 via a long rod-like adjusting arm fixed to the carriage main body 3 at a plurality of position selecting engagement holes 8 via a locking means 45, a horizontal movable shaft 37 horizontally and rotatably supported on a lower end part of the adjusting arm, and a pair of right and left oscillating arms 31 journalled to this horizontal movable shaft 37.
