PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal pouring device which can simultaneously open a plurality of molten metal pouring holes arranged in a tundish by the same amount in a short time, and an operation method for the molten metal pouring device when the molten metal starts to pour. SOLUTION: The molten metal pouring device 1 is provided with a handle 14 arranged so as to be able to manually operate a stopper rod ascending/ descending device 10, at the lower end of the stopper rod ascending/descending device 10, a rotary actuator 20 disposed at the lower part of the handle 14 to simultaneously operate the stopper rod ascending/descending device 10 for a prescribed time when the molten metal starts to pour, and a coupling means 21 for connecting the rotary actuator 20 with the handle 14.
