PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instant printer which is capable of taking out instant films in a straight line, without inclination in a direction orthogonal with respect to the longitudinal direction of exposure head and an electronic still camera with the printer. SOLUTION: A pair of claw members 44 and 45 are respectively integrally disposed at connecting plates 44b and 45b of mounting parts 44a and 45a, mounted at sliding plates 42 and 43 and, are formed symmetrically to the center line with each other, relative to the center of the instant film 21 set in an exposure opening 20b. When a motor 31 is driven by operating a printing key, a cam 41 is rotated by one turn by means of a claw drive mechanism 33, and the claw members 44 and 45 are once slid and moved back and forth by means of the sliding plates 42 and 43. The instant film 21 is taken out in a straight line, without inclination to a discharge port toward a discharge port 20e in forward moving to a first transport roller 34 side. When the transporting of the instant film 21 by the transport roller 34 is started, the exposure to the instant film 21 by the exposure head 25 is started in synchronization therewith. The image which is recorded on the instant film 21 is recorded without inclination.
