PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader for analyzing elements in an image and outputting the analysis results to the outside and an image processor for receiving such analysis results together with the image and capable of performing high-speed processing. SOLUTION: The image read by a reading element 11 is processed by a basic correction processing part 12 and an edition processing part 13 and subsequently inputted to an analysis processing part 14. The analysis processing part 14 analyzes elements such as characters in the image, design, background, map and photograph and outputs the analysis results an analysis information. An interface part 15 attaches the analysis information outputted from the analysis processing part 14 to the image outputted from the edition processing part 13 and transfers the image to which the analysis information is attached, for example, to a host side device. The host side device does not have to perform analysis processing of the image since the analysis information attached to the image can be utilized, a processing load needed for an image analysis and processing time can be reduced.
