PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a section insulator for reducing the lopsided wear of a slider by smoothing the passage of a pantograph. SOLUTION: A slider set 4 for supplying power to an electric car between trolley lines T, T, instead thereof, consists of a pair of long and short sliders 11, 12 formed in an approximately Y-shape and fixed to the trolley lines T, respectively, with the long and short ones alternately opposed to each other at both ends of an insulating rod 3. The sliders 11, 12 are fixed to the trolley lines T with two joint fittings 13 and supported on arms 9 of connection fittings 5 with fixed supporting brackets 14 and movable supporting brackets 15. Spider gripping portions of the joint fittings 13 allows the sliders 11, 12 to be vertically adjusted at their supporting positions by changing the positions of screw stems threaded to the arms 9. The movable supporting brackets 15 can be moved up in a relatively movable range to the arms 9 of movable shafts locked by a locking ring while gripping the slider 12.
