PURPOSE: An apparatus for cancelling aliasing in reverse mapping is provided to cancel the aliasing without unnecessary blurring artifact by varying a filter coefficient according to a resampling interval using a plurality of filter coefficient sets in a reverse mapping algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of tap delays(101-105) connected in series successively delay inputted data. A plurality of coefficient update units(201-205) have lookup tables(201c-205c), the first multipliers(201a-205a) and the second multipliers(201b-205b). The lookup tables selectively output one of a plurality of previously stored filter coefficients according to the range of a resampling interval. The first multipliers multiply the input data and previous data between adjacent two data outputted through a plurality of the tap delays by the filter coefficients outputted from the lookup tables. The second multipliers multiply next data by the filter coefficients. An adding unit(300) has the first adder(301) and the second adder(302). The first adder adds all outputs of the first multipliers of a plurality of the coefficient update units. The second adder adds all outputs of the second multipliers of a plurality of the coefficient update units. An interpolation unit(400) interpolates the data outputted from the adding unit using an interpolation coefficient, and outputs resampled data.
