<p>The invention relates to a viscous torsional vibration damper comprising a damping housing (1) that surrounds an annular working chamber (7) and can be connected to a machine part that is to be damped. In order to improve the dissipation of heat from the interior of the damper, a fan plate (15) is mounted on at least one flat face of the damper to conduct heat. A plurality of hollow cylindrical cooling channels (17, 18) projects from the plane of the fan plate, said channels creating intense turbulence in the air that is entrained by the rotation, thus intensifying the transfer of heat.</p> |
