<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an lighting system for a bicycle capable of mounting a power generating device of non-contact type simply and certainly without removing a wheel from a fork at each time and assuring easy installation even if the bicycle applicable is of a type having a small wheel diameter. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system of the bicycle is equipped with the power generating device of non-contact type and a luminaire L to emit light with electricity supplied from the power generating device. The power generating device includes a magnet ring 2 in circular shape installed around the axle of the bicycle, an induction coil 3 fixed to the frame of the bicycle in such a way as confronting the rotational plane of the magnet ring 2, and a mounting ring 5 for securing the magnet ring 2 to spokes 4. The magnet ring 2 is split in two halves in the circumferential direction to generate two vessels 9 where a yoke 6 and a bunch of magnets 7 are encapsulated in each and has a coupling means to couple together the ends of vessels 9 about the circumferential direction.
