Cardiac antiarrhythmic phloroglucinol ethers - of hydroxy alkylaminoalkanoic acids

Cpds. of formula: (where A is H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or a metallic group M1/v where M is a metal of valency v; n is 1,2 or 3; Y is a divalent hydrocarbon group; R1 is Me, Et) and their acid addition salts. The cpds. are prepd. by treating the appropriate epoxy-phenoxyalkane with an aminoalkanonitrile and hydrolysing the product. Suitable clinical dose is 100 mg, 3 or 4 times daily.
