A machine component (an oil-containing bearing 1) wherein: a green compact comprising a raw material powder that has been compressed and molded is heat-treated at in an oxidized atmosphere (e.g., in air), said raw material powder including iron powder and copper powder; and, as a result, iron particles 10 and copper particles 20 are bonded via oxide coatings 11, 21 generated on the surface of each particle. The maximum coating thickness of the oxide coatings 11, 21 in an area 300 µm ± 10 µm from the surface of the green compact is no more than 1 µm. |
