<p>1514767 Rollers REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT 27 June 1975 [17 July 1974] 27381/75 Heading F2U A conveyer roller comprises frictionally driven members 13 which serve to transmit drive from hubs 5, 6 to one or more roller shells 14 and which are adapted to receive roller shells of differing diameters. The members 13 may be made of plastics and formed with inner and outer cylindrical walls 15, 16 upon which the roller shells, or the roller shell 14 shown, are force fitted. The shells may be made of steel or plastics tube or steel tube lined with rubber or hard plastics. The hubs 5, 6 may be mounted for free rotation on, or driven on, a fixed shaft 1 by a chain sprocket 8, the rotation of the hub 5 being transmitted to the hub 6 through a connecting tube 7 of hexagonal cross-section force fitted on to the ends 11 of the hubs. The assembly may be axially-positioned on the shaft by self-locking rings 4. In Fig. 2 (not shown) inner and outer shells (22, 21) provide a stepped roller. If desired, both end hubs 5, 6 may be chain driven and the connecting tube 7 dispensed with.</p> |
