PURPOSE:To prepare an ink ribbon with a fixed concentration of ink and excellent efficiency of thermal transfer by coating the supernatant liquid of supersaturated solution of thermosubliming dyes on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Supersaturated solution is prepared by melting thermosubliming dyes in a solvent and, a binder being added therto, it is left untouched so as for a undissolved portion to be precipitated. Next, the supernatant liquid of the solution is coated on one surface of a substrate and dried, thereby a thermal transfer ink ribbon being obtained. |
