PURPOSE:To increase the life time of the compensating device as well as reduce the fault frequency, by installing the rainfall discriminating control unit and then actuating the compensating device only in case the interference wave occurs to the output of the polarizer which passed through the polarization converting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The circular polarized waves A and B received at antenna 1 after passing through the rainfall region are received in the form of the opposite-turning oval polarized waves to each other. And waves A and B are isolated from each other via transmission/reception group branching filter 2, polarized wave converting circuit 3 and polarizer each to be taken out at terminals 10 and 11 via branching filter 9, couplers 5 and 5, and branching filter 9 each. In this case, the oval polarized wave output passed through polarizer 4 and branching filter 9 is supplied to rainfall discriminating control unit 15. And compensating control unit 13 is operated with the output of unit 15. Unit 13 extracts the amplitude information of each polarized wave, and then gives the control to variable attenuators 6 and 7 plus converting circuit 3 each. |
