PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle lock hardly misused and provided with an easily turnable latch head. SOLUTION: In a casing 12, a cam element 40 is installed rotationally. A cam plate 42 in the cam element 40 is engaged with one of cam grooves formed on the front and back faces of a latch head 30 so as to convert a rotational action to a projecting/retracting action of the latch head 30. The cam plate 42 abuts to an elastic claw 74 so as to be restricted in the rotation area, and an engaging condition with the cam groove 36 is maintained, so that the latch head 30 is prevented from coming off from the casing 12. The elastic claw 74 is pressed downward by means of a flat-tip screwdriver inserted from an oblong hole, and when the cam element 40 is turned, the cam plate 42 exceeds the elastic claw 74 for releasing engaging condition between the cam groove 36 and the cam element 40, and consequently, the latch head 30 is pulled out and can be turned reversely. Operation can be facilitated because only elastic deformation of the elastic claw 74 is required. In addition, the lock is not misused because the oblong hole is positioned on the inside of a housing part 18.
