METHOD FOR RECOVERING ENERGY POSSESSED BY EXHAUST GAS FROM BLAST FURNACE

Energy is recovered from the exhaust gas of a blast furnace(1) by its instruction into an axial-flow turbine(7) to produce electricity. The arrangement is improved by allowing the attachment angle of the stator blades(21) to be adjusted according to the furnace top pressure. The adjustment can be readily made without any substantial reduction in turbine efficiency.
