PURPOSE:To prevent, by a simple method, water hammer at the time of closing of an external valve, by providing the water receiver of the external valve with a bottom plate, on which a water flow exerts a force opposite to that on the water receiver. CONSTITUTION:When a water tank is empty and a ball 10 is in a descent position, a valve spindle 6 is pushed up and a high flow rate of water having flowed at the maximum speed out of an external valve is led down by a water receiver 21 and pushes it up by a strong force. The water led down by the water receiver 21 collides against a bottom plate 22 and pushes it down by a strong force. Since the bottom plate 22 and the water receiver 21 are integrated together, the upward and downward forces based on the momentum changes of the water having flowed out of the external water cancel each other. Colliding against the bottom plate 22, the water is decelerated thereon, once changes its direction upward, is then decelerated further and flows down slowly into the water tank. For this reason, the waving of the water surface in the tank due to the water coming from the external valve is very much reduced and the noise of the water flowing into the water surface in the tank is also extremely diminished. |
