Carburettor for internal combustion engines with a pilot throttle valve arranged upstream of an arbitrarily operatable throttle valve, the position of which pilot throttle valve in the air duct is controlled by an actuator, and an idling mixture system with an idling correction air needle nozzle, controlled as a function of the pilot throttle valve position, which nozzle is designed as a compact insert and the nozzle needle of which is returned by a spring acting in the opening direction of the pilot throttle valve, the clamping length of which spring on the finished carburettor can be adjusted without varying the nozzle rate of flow.
