The socket-like card protector is made from a blank with a complete face (5) and a face with a cut-away (12). Strip sections (3,4,9) form hollow, triangular retaining walls with the two major faces superimposed and glued together. - The inner faces (9) are cut (15) at the centre and may have a curved inner edge. A pot rim inserted between these faces will be gripped by the natural resilience of the material to hold the protector in place.
