PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body which is applied to various photoconductors and has high sensitivity and a stable potential characteristic in repetitive use by incorporating at least one of a specific disazo compd. or specific tetra kisazo compd. into said body. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body contains at least one kind of the disazo compd. expressed by formula [1] or the tetra kisazo compd. expressed by formula [2]. In the formula, Cp denotes a coupler residue, Ar denotes a devalent arom. carbon ring group, divalent arom. heterocyclic group or the substituent thereof, R<1> denotes an alkyl group, aralkyl group, aryl group or the substituent thereof, R<2> denotes a hydrogen atom, electron attractive group or substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group, R<3> denotes a hydrogen atom or electron attractive group, R<4> denotes a hydrogen group, halogen group, alkyl group, alkoxy group, aryl group, aryloxy group or the substituent thereof.
