This electrical discharge system has a wire electrode passing through a guide conduit, and a flexible tube inserted in the conduit and slidable axidlly so that a tube end is movable between a normal position adjacent to a conduit end and a excess position onwardly of the normal position. The tube inner end is located within the conduit with the tube in the access position so that an electrode is easily placed within the conduit. The tube is prepared of glass fiber reinforced PTFe, and the conduit extends within the length of an elongate tubular lower arm extending laterally from a frame so that a free end is below a workpiece.
