The building block (1) has a vertical opening (2) running through the centre of the block and channels (3) running parallel to the central opening at either end. When the blocks are laid to form a structure, such as a wall, the openings and channels form continuous openings running through the structure. These are then injected with mortar, thus forming vertical columns. The mortar spreads out from the internal openings to form beds of mortar between the block layers. This bedding layer is by either sealing perimeter gaskets or alternatively by block design. USE - Building blocks with bores and grooves allow injection of mortar to form reinforcing structure.
