Elastic tape incorporates rubber and is cut to a length which corresponds to the average neck periphery of a specific group of people (e.g. women) less some 10% because of the traction. Each opposite end of the tape features a counter piece part of a velcro-type fastener. Both counter piece parts are cut into specific longitudinal strips, the length of which is selected in such a way that, through a variable overlapping of the two ends, the tape can emcompass the smallest or the largest neck periphery within the specific group of people. The strips are longitudinal in the direction of the tape. ADVANTAGE - For use as a collar at hairdressers to prevent cut off hair from reaching a customer's skin. Works effectively and will not curve in the manner of paper collars when in contact with moisture.
