The box, for cigarettes etc., is folded from a single sheet of cardboard (2-17) with successive sections forming the front wall, bottom, rear wall, sides and flaps joined by grooved fold lines. An attached cap has front, top and rear sections and side flaps. The sheet has continuous parallel lengthwise edges, and the cap fits over the top of the front wall and adjacent sides, forming a closing collar. It can also bear against the end edges of the front wall and sides, being secured by friction to them. USE/ADVANTAGE - Cigarette box is of low cost and improved stiffness while being made of relatively light material.
