The circuit is to check the open and short status of the cable having a number of the signal lines. The test circuit comprises: multiplexers (U1-16) being connected with the input ends of the signal lines and applying an activating voltage source to the each lines; a channel selector (2) and a line selector (1) to control the multiplexers (U1-16) successively; demultiplexers (U21- 36) to check the output of the lines and generate the common detect voltage, the demultiplexers being controlled by the receiving line selector (11).
