A machine is driven by a shaft (17) which passes through a slot in the wall of the machine housing. The slot is covered by a cover which consists of a body (20) which clips over a plate which is secured to the machine housing wall by screws. The body (10) has two parallel walls with a hole in each wall arranged so that the holes are co-axial. The shaft is supported in a bush which has two diametrically opposite bosses with their axes at right angles to the shaft axis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Connecting shaft for driving a machine.
