The mechanism consists of an inter support lever (5) which is hinged roughly at its middle about a fork end (12) projecting from the rear of the body (2) of the clip. At the upper free end, a pad (3) is fixed by a pivoting shaft (14). A blade spring (6) whose upper end (15) is in the form of a folded `U', is inserted between the pad (3) and its pivoting shaft (14) on the lever (15) and which has its lower end butting against a carrier (7-26). This carrier has an adjusting screw (20-23) which is adapted to modify the position of the carrier in relation to the body (2) in order to adjust the application force of the blade spring onto the pad.
