In a microwave oven, which is provided with operation buttons, a control unit, a heating device, a door open sensing switch, a synchronous motor, a fan motor for a ventilation, and a buzzer warning unit, and cooks food under a cooking environment set by manipulating an operation button, an internal ventilation control method after a completion of a cooking comprises the steps of: judging whether a door is opened after a cooking time of a set cooking environment is finished to perform an operation of maintaining a stand-by state upon opening the door; driving the fan motor for the ventilation and the buzzer warning unit, if the door is not opened in a given time; judging whether the door is opened during a driving of the fan motor for the ventilation and the buzzer warning unit, after the given time has lapsed and then, repeating the above steps, if the door is not opened, and maintaining the standby state, if the door is opened.
