METHOD FOR GLASS-CERAMICS TILE USING SCORIA

The glass-ceramics tile is prepared by (A) crushing scoria stone from Jejoo-island followed by ball-milling the crushed scoria into less than 325 mesh, (B) melting the single socria fine powder or additive added scoria powder for refining at 1,300 deg.C for 3 hours, and (C) quenching the molten material with water to be a frit, and (D) sintering the frit separated by particle size. The additive is a mixture of borax(Na2B4O7-10H2O), arsenic oxide(As2O3), sodium nitrate(NaNO3) and sugar.
