The data recorded on the CDG disk(32) is a digital signal processed through pick-up device(34), pick-up drive part(36), serve signal processing part(38), microcomputer(40), and digital signal processor(42), and is separated to the audio signal and the sub-code. As the signal detection and selection part(70) feeds the sub-code to the decoder(54), the decoder converts it into the RGB's color signal. Then the matrix and the synthesizer(60) receives the input of the RGB color signal and the color displays it onto the background picture and synthesizes character data of a CDG disk. The synthesized signal is converted into the combined image signal or super video signal and the picture displayed by the final picture display system(64).
