Inter-maxillary fixing system for dental work

The wire loop (10) in a diameter (d) of 20-120 mm, for the inter-maxillary fixing of the upper and lower jaws, is made of a flexible strand in a thickness of up to 2 mm. The strand is passed round two mounting points (16) at a gap (a) from each other, and can be shortened and especially twisted. The strand of the material has two ends (12), bonded together by a welded seam or solder point (14) to form a loop (10). The loop (10) is made of materials e.g. steel for implants, titanium, tantalum etc.
