WATER-BASE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base resin composition which is excellent in properties of cured products including water resistance and solvent resistance and permits film-forming at room temperature. SOLUTION: The composition comprises a carboxylated compound having a structure formed by adding a dialkanol monocarboxylate to the glycidyl groups of a polyglycidyl compound, reacting a polycarboxylic acid or the anhydride thereof and the polyglycidyl compound to obtain an ester-structured compound, and esterifying all or part of the hydroxy groups of the ester-structured compound with the polycarboxylic acid or the anhydride thereof.
