The collapsible stand has a set of gangplanks and support frame. The planks (2) have a downwardly aligned hook unit (6,7) to hang on a connecting device. In the useful position the hanging device (18) is set at the ends of each plank and engages under the hooks. The connecting device also has a support bearing face (20) away from the hanging device so that during assembly the stand (3) can be set against the plank in an inclined position and then swivelled into the useful position.
