PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent-quality printed photograph obtained by excellently synthesizing a pre-exposure image and an object image without causing a black line and a clear white line by setting a gap in an optical axis direction between the edge for restricting photographing light of a light shielding mask covering a pre-exposure area and the front of a photographic film within a specified range. SOLUTION: When the focal distance of a photographing lens is defined as (f)mm and a diaphragm value is defined as F, the gap (x)mm in the optical axis direction between the edge for restricting photographing light of the light shielding mask covering the pre-exposure area and the front of the photographic film is set within the range of 0.1f/[(f/F)+0.1]<=x<=f/[(f/F)+1.0]. That means, the edge for restricting photographing light 33a of the light shielding mask 33 is separated from the front of the photographic film 16 by the gap (x). Then, an area 48 on which photographing light which is not cut by the edge 33a is made incident is widened by width H in a direction shown by an arrow A along in a direction toward the pre-exposure area 18a from a photographing area 18b. The quantity of the incident light is gradually reduced in the direction shown by the arrow A, that means, toward the area 18a.
