摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check sound generation by pressure sensitive adhesion at back face driving time, and to improve durability by covering an extension part with a film of superhigh molecular weight polyethylene and a belt back face with a film of superhigh molecular weight polyethylene. SOLUTION: A belt 1 uses respective fibers of polyester, Aramid and glass as a raw material, a conductor 2 composed of a cord having high strength and low ductility is embedded in an adhesive rubber layer 3, a compressed rubber layer 4 of an elastic body layer is provided on the lower side, cross-sectional almost triangular plural rib parts 7 extending in the belt lengthwise direction are arranged in this compressed rubber layer, and an extension part 12 covered with a superhigh molecular weight polyethylene film 5 is arranged on a belt back face 10. Superhigh molecular weight polyethylene has average molecular weight of 1,750,000 to 2,000,000 measured by a viscosity method, and a melting point is about 140 deg.C. The film 5 requires transparency of a degree capable of sufficiently discriminating a mark 6 through this film. Since such constitution does not cause pressure sensitive adhesion on the belt back face, a vertical crack is not caused, and a V-ribbed belt is not abraded even if a back face idler pulley is used.
