PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water repellent film having excellent wear resistance and adhesion suitable for use in an ink jet head. SOLUTION: A water repellent film 11 is formed on the surface of a wafer (basic material) 21. The water repellent film 11 comprises a metal layer 12 formed by depositing chromium or titanium on the surface of the basic material, and a mixture layer 13 formed by depositing a metal and fluororesin simultaneously. The water repellent film 11 exhibits extremely excellent wear resistance and adhesion.
