PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long size wire manufacturing apparatus capable of elongating and efficiently manufacturing a long size wire even if it is brittle regardless of a space for installing the apparatus. SOLUTION: The long size wire manufacturing apparatus 1 is provided with a welding apparatus 4 to form a long size stock 3 by successively in the axial direction welding end faces each other of plural wire elements 2 made of a metal sintered body, a grinding apparatus 6 to grind a protrusion generated to the outer circumference of a welded part 5, a lubricant coating apparatus 7 to coat a lubricant to the ground long size stock 3, a heating apparatus 8 to heat the long size stock 3 and an area reduction apparatus 10 to form a long size wire 9 by area-reducing the heated long size stock 3 to a prescribed area reduction rate.
