摘要 PURPOSE: An image sensor with stabilized black level and low power consumption is provided to prevent variations in black level due to a pixel defect, while obtaining a black clamp level in a shorter time. CONSTITUTION: An image sensor comprises a pixel array(10), including at least one row of pixels, wherein each pixel has a light receiving element and a reset switch connected to a reset node of the light receiving element, divided into an effective pixel region(102) and an optical black pixel region(101); and a read-out circuit, for scanning the pixel array to read out signals from the pixels, including a black clamp circuit(18) for holding a signal from the optical black pixel region as an integrated dark current signal and for correcting a signal from the effective pixel region with the integrated dark current signal. The optical black pixel region includes a potential averaging line commonly connected to the reset nodes of a plurality of pixels in a pixel row.
