PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting foot mechanism of a simple structure which is capable of rapidly and easily adjusting the angle of a device and is capable of safely operating even the heavy device with light force. SOLUTION: The mechanism for adjusting the angle of inclination of the device for adjusting the projection position of a liquid crystal projector or the like has a cylinder for holding a shaft part, a gasket which is mounted at the shaft part inscribing this cylinder, a spring which is compressed and stowed between a bottom of a hole bored from the upper part in the axial direction of the shaft part and the upper part of the cylinder and an air tube which is connected to the cylinder and is connected at the other end to an air cock with an opening lever. When an air cock is opened, the compressed spring is elongated, by which the air is admitted into the cylinder. When the air cock is closed, the air in the cylinder is hermetically sealed and the shaft part position is determined at the balancing point of the pressure in the cylinder and the elongating force of the spring.
