PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer of high efficiency and high power output. SOLUTION: In this piezoelectric transformer, a pair of input electrodes are arranged above and below a central part of a rectangular piezoelectric member, and a driving region which is polarized in one thickness direction is formed. A pair of output electrodes are arranged on end surfaces of a longitudinal direction, and power generating regions which are polarized in reverse directions sandwiching the driving region in the longitudinal direction are formed. Output is obtained between the output electrode and either one of the input electrodes, and excitation is performed by half-wavelength mode. A ratio T1/L1, where L1 is the whole length in the longitudinal direction and T1 is thickness, is 0.06-0.11.
