PURPOSE: An optometer is provided to obtain a high reliability for testing result by reducing the consumption of light and increasing signal to noise ratio, while simplifying configuration and reducing manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: An optometer comprises a light emitting unit(10) including a light source(S) for emitting both a collimating light and a measurement light having different intensity; an object lens(OL) for focusing the light emitted from the light emitting unit and permitting incidence of the focused light to the eyeball of an examinee; a light detection unit arranged in the advancing path of the light emitted from the light emitting unit, and which includes a mirror member(M) for passing the light incident to the eyeball of the examinee and changing path of the light reflected from the eyeball, and light sensors(D1,D2) for detecting the signal of the light having the changed path; and a central processing unit(50) for performing an arithmetic operation to the electrical signal output from the light detection unit and providing information regarding the eyeball of the examinee.
