PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonation-monitoring apparatus for concrete members for easily observing the carbonation in the concrete members over a long time, without troubles and without leading a cable to the outside of the concrete member. SOLUTION: An internal coil 3, that is accommodated in a case body 6, is buried into a concrete member C along with a wire-like metal member 8 that is connected to the internal coil 3. The metal member 8 is made of a material that corrodes due to the carbonation of the concrete member C. In the observation of carbonation, an external coil 4, that is accommodated in a case body 19, is arranged opposite to the internal coil 3 outside the concrete member C, and an AC voltage is given from an AC power supply 12 to the external coil 4 in this state. In this case, a current which flows through the external coil 4 is detected by a current detector 13, based on the output of the detector 13 carbonizing of the concrete member C is determined.
